Still Celebrating Andelynn

Over the weekend we decided it was Andelynn's weekend since it is her birthday on Monday. Friday we spent the whole night playing at Incredible Pizza. And so for Saturday Andelynn wanted to go swimming all day and then Chili's for dinner. And so that is what we did, we spent the hot day in the cool pool. What a blast we had.

Swimming buddies

I could not get a picture of Andelynn with her head above water. The only thing out of the water on her was her feet. She thinks that someday she will be able to beat me on handstands. (I don't think so)

Even the bird had to cool down in the pool. any way to escape the heat.

Too Tired... After swimming we went to Chili's for dinner. Chili's was just up the street from where we were swimming. So I told Alyssa since it was such a short drive she didn't have to get in the car seat but she still had to buckle up. Well in that short drive she still managed to fall asleep. Swimming and the sun wore her out. Alyssa stayed asleep all through dinner.

"Do I smell chocolate, Molten Chocolate Cake?" Alyssa woke up just as they brought out the desert. I guess that is one way to have desert before dinner.

TRUE STORY: So as we were at Chili's one of the employees that was helping us asked us if the two girls are twins. Are you kidding me. Do these girls look like they could be twins? Looking at their faces you can tell that there is a huge age gap between them. One is 9 years and the other is 3 years. Now if they were a couple years apart then yeah maybe I can see someone asking that. They do look a like however you can tell that they are different in age. Seriously though some people are dumb or just say dumb things. .

ANOTHER TRUE STORY: Back in the days (just after high school) people would ask if me and my friend, Emilie, were twins. You got to be kidding. Those of you who know Em know that she is over 6 feet tall and I am just under 5 feet tall. Yeah we are twins. People say the dumbest things I swear.

Celebrating Andelynn

We started to celebrate Andelynn's Birthday a little early. Monday July 28th is Andelynn's birthday however we started the party Friday night.

Friday as soon as Andy got home from work we decided to play all weekend and have fun and just let Andelynn do what she wanted. We ended up going to Incredible Pizza that night for dinner. The employees sang Happy Birthday to Andelynn and she got a little birthday gift from them. Then there were all these relay type games that they were doing to win prizes and tickets. Well both girls decided to play and have fun. Andelynn won $15 in rides like go carts and bumper cars etc. And the guy that worked there loved Alyssa and so he gave her tickets after tickets. In the end she had 725 tickets.

What a night. With all the girls winnings I didn't have to pay for them to do anything. They won everything that they did and got. So all we paid for was dinner. It saved me a ton. So I was happy and both girls were very happy. And of course the food was so good.

Andelynn loves to go on the bumper cars or whatever you call this. It is fun when you spin out of control. With her winnings she was able of riding this a few times. And do many other things.

Kisses...

Even with all the fighting that these girls seem to have they still love each other. They love each other so much, in fact they have a hard time if they are apart. They are both such a blessing to us in our life and so very special. They seem to be so different, but yet they are so much a like. And I couldn't ever imagine loving someone more than I love my girls and Andy. I am blessed to have such an amazing and wonderful family.

Alyssa took this picture of Andy and I. For a 3 year old I think she did pretty good.

Where is the Camera?

This hotel room seems to get smaller and smaller each day. It is starting to swallow our stuff up. Boy, when we check out whoever cleans our room is going to be finding some treasures. Well the other day I thought that one of those treasures was going to be my digital camera.

I always have my laptop and camera set on the desk by the phone. It has always been there except this one day. I could not figure out why my camera is missing. Where did it go? This was the question that no one could answer. I did find the camera. It was on the desk under a whole bunch of papers and other crap that has been piling up on that desk. I am glad that it didn't turn out to be a treasure for the hotel cleaning ladies who don't speak any English.

So I got the SD card out to put the pictures onto the laptop so I can clear the pictures and take more pictures. There were 132 pictures on there. I do not remember taking that many pictures. So I went back to look at them. It comes to find out that Alyssa, yes Alyssa who is only 3, got a hold of my camera. She must have been on a picture taken high. Every single picture
(all 132 pictures) were pictures that she took. Maybe she will grow up to be a great photographer some day. Granddaughter like Grandpa...

Here are a few pictures of Alyssa's. There was no way I could keep all 132 pictures but I did keep a few.

Alyssa even sets up her toys and makes them pose

Alyssa even went in on Andelynn while she was watching tv and Alyssa even told Andelynn how to pose for the camera. I tell ya, this girl loves to take pictures. Now I know what santa needs to bring her for Christmas.

I told ya. Alyssa is definitely Grandpa's granddaughter. They both take pictures of anything and everything. The memories we will always have though. I do love that about my dad. I might hate being in the pictures, but I love going back and looking at all the pictures and remembering all those fun times we had. I love you so much dad and thanks for always and I mean always having your camera ready for those unexpected moments. :)

Six Flags

Down to less than 3 weeks left to go. Time is going by pretty fast now. We have been staying busy with a lot of playing. When we got here we went and bought six flags season passes. We are about 7 miles away from six flags so we thought that we would be there often since it is so close. And boy were we right on that. I can not even count how many times we have been so far. That first week we had season passes we went almost everyday. Then we had to take a little break, but that break didn't last too long. With having the rides and the water park it keeps us busy and it's nice not having to spend tons of money everyday to find something to do. This is paid for so why not do what's cheap right. Here are a few pictures of some of our trips to six flags.

The girls are seeing how sick they can get by seeing how fast they can spin

It's a good thing that Alyssa can't drive yet. She doesn't understand that she has to keep her eye on the road and not on her feet. We have a lot to teach her in the next 12 years before she starts driving.

There were bee's everywhere. Well the girls were getting on this ride and right before it started a bee landed right on the tip of Alyssa's nose. It scared Alyssa and of course she couldn't move to get away from it. So she started crying by the time I snapped the picture the bee flew away.

"Wont anyone else ride with me. I am not sick yet I don't know how you can be sick. We only spun around 3,000 times already".

I love her face expression in the above picture. Alyssa is always making funny faces.

Time with Scooby, I think he likes Alyssa

I think someone likes Scooby more than others do

Andelynn made a new friend

At the end of the day we let both the girls play a game. They both won and they each got a bear. Alyssa picked out the black bear and Andelynn got the white bear.

Happy 4th

We had a wonderful 4th of July. However it rained so hard and of course we got caught out in it. WE WERE SOAKED!... We went down to the river walk, took the boat ride and of course went shopping. We also walked through the Alamo. Until the rain got too hard that is. So we didn't get to do everything we wanted. But that is ok. We had a lot of fun anyways.

Andy and the girls while on the boat at the River Walk

Andelynn and Andy in front of the Alamo

The Alamo (check out how dark the sky is getting)

I don't think that they will pass for cowgirls or a cowboy. They are cute anyways.

Soaked from the rain and all the crazy people everywhere, We still had a really good holiday. I hope that all of you had a wonderful fourth of July, and take the time to think about all those who have lost their lives or lost loved ones for our country.

Girls Just Want To Have Fun

So we have been having fun while here in Texas. We got here on June 6th and that first week while we were here we stayed with the Fuller Family. During that first week I would watch the kids while Candice would work. We had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures of some of the fun that we have been having.

Andelynn & Michaela (I like how easy it is to make friends when you are a kid)

Girls at a girly girl store. they had a blast dressing up and playing and just being girls.

Alyssa also got into the fun

Who says boys can't have fun in a girly girl store, it just makes you wonder. I hope Dylan doesn't enjoy it when he gets older. Dylan is a good sport. He has been stuck with all girls. 4 girls and only 1 boy. You know when he gets older then he will wish to be the only boy with 4 girls.
